ISE (International Student Exchange) is an international exchange program that started in 1982 and matches local host families to international high school students for an academic year or semester (5-10 months).
Host families provide a room (that they could share with same sex sibling around the same age), 3 meals/day and transportation to events and school (if not taking the bus). This is an excellent opportunity to learn and share each other's cultures and traditions, as well as learn or improve upon a new language in the comfort of your home environment.
Exchange students come from countries all over the world and will become a member of your family to share and learn from.
Please contact Cybele Owen, local Area Representative @703-829-6271 for more information or to sign up as a volunteer host family.
