JOB TITLE: Executive Director
AGENCY MISSION STATEMENT: Achieving justice in our community by helping low- income people with civil legal problems through high quality, free legal services.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Director, working closely with the Board of Directors, provides program management, volunteer coordination, assists with fundraising, researches and writes grants and reports, maintains positive community and public relations, and facilitates the day to day operations of the agency, including supervision of staff personnel. The position requires flexibility, and may require some travel, and occasional evening/weekend work.
40 hours per week; salary $35,000 – $45,000 DOQ; some benefits.
Capacity to relate well to people from all backgrounds, including attorneys, Court officials, and low-income clients Effective verbal and written communication skills Staff supervision, coordination, and management skills Volunteer coordination and management skills Ability to function as overall program coordinator Bilingual English/Spanish capability preferred Familiarity with, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, laws, legal procedures, and the legal community
