Summary: El Futuro, Inc, is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to provide and advance behavioral health resources for the under-served Latino population of North Carolina. We are seeking a Spanish-speaking psychotherapist to join a creative, energetic, multidisciplinary team of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the mental health needs of the Latino population and we focus on offering high quality services in culturally sensitive ways. The perfect candidate will have experience in working with all age groups. Clinical supervision provided.
Responsibilities: 1. Provide ongoing family-centered, culturally competent mental health outpatient services for adults, adolescents, and/or children including individual and/or family treatment. 2. Create and maintain positive relationships with social service providers and community leaders. 3. Maintain accurate documentation of clinical services and billing. 4. Contribute to clinical team knowledge base of emerging best practices for client population. 5. Play an active role in the continued development of El Futuros work and help increase our recognition.
LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LPA or Ph.D. in psychology and one year clinical experience with Spanish-speaking clients. Must be licensed in North Carolina. Degree must be from an accredited school. Excellent assessment, case management, and crisis intervention skills. Clinical experience with adults and children preferred. Language Skills: Excellent spoken Spanish required. Must be able to read and communicate with clients in written Spanish. Must be able to document clinical encounters in English and treatment plans in Spanish. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality when working in close collaboration with other agencies in the field. Commitment to provision of culturally competent services. Demonstrated enthusiasm about working as part of inter-disciplinary team. Flexibility about developing role within non-profit mental health agency. Willingness to pursue relevant training as needed.
