Our client is a professional technical services company providing secure information management solutions to Government agencies and commercial clients worldwide. Their talented technical team delivers integrated solutions that enable movement, storage, protection and use of mission critical information.
They are looking for a System Security Engineer (Senior) in Columbia, MD.
The successful candidate is required to fulfill the requirements of this labor category shall possess at least twelve (12) years of experience in Information Systems, to include implementation, network monitoring, design, and troubleshooting of large enterprise-level networks and must demonstrate proficiency and advanced knowledge.
The overall program will use a phased approach to implement effective solutions and mechanisms. This project will develop technology, standards and specifications which will support development of fieldable solutions to be integrated into DOD and Intelligence Community infrastructures.
The goals and objectives of these efforts are to:
• Accelerate deployment of an enterprise wide cross domain service to provide subscribers a robust information sharing capability enabling secure access/transfer of data between DOD/IC classified networks. • Provide for engineering and standards development for a secure remote management capability enabling enterprise-wide cross domain service sustainment from a central facility. • Provide for engineering and proof of concept development of a situational awareness capability for the enterprise-wide cross domain service enabling real-time monitoring and response within an integrated information operation and unified network defense management model. • Provide for security engineering plans and recommendations to strengthen cross domain filter development techniques and mechanisms and develop new inspection and sanitization filters and services supporting secure access and transfer of additional data types. • Provide for Information Assurance (IA) security engineering plans and recommendations to enhance cross domain scalability, data integrity, and robust services for an enterprise-wide capability. • Provide for security engineering plans and recommendations to address cross domain information discovery and retrieval. This effort will address the capability to support distributed discovery, access and consumption of data and services across organizations, agencies, and communities of interest.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Five (5) years experience with the use and implementation of enterprise monitoring and management frameworks, tools, and protocols; including, but not limited to SNMPv3 and NETCONF • Five (5) years experience in network routing and switching protocols to include excellent knowledge of TCP/IP • Five (5) years experience in structured change management process for highly available datacenter networks • One (1) year experience in Cross Domain Solutions technologies, to include security and functional requirements • One (1) year experience in operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) and trusted operating systems (e.g., TSOL) • One (1) year experience within the DOD and Intelligence Community (IC) environment.
In lieu of 12 years of experience, individuals may have an Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, Master's Degree, plus eight (8) years of experience or an Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, Bachelor's Degree, plus ten (10) years of experience and must demonstrate proficiency and advanced knowledge in all of the required skills areas.
