Volunteers are still needed for The Southwest Ambulance Arizona Celebration of Freedom
(MESA, AZ) – Your community needs your help. Join the 100+ who have already volunteered and be a part of this historic event, The Southwest Ambulance Arizona Celebration of Freedom Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July 3 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the inaugural community independence festival. Food will be provided and each person who participates will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
The Southwest Ambulance Arizona Celebration of Freedom is presented by the Chicago Cubs and 94.5 KOOL FM and will feature more than a dozen “cool” zones, family “fun” zones, live music on multiple stages, an Americana art exhibit, Heritage Lane, “Motorcycles on Main,” a classic car show and fireworks. Volunteers are needed both days for a variety of activities, including information/lost and found, event set up/tear down/clean up, supervising fun zones, games and more. Volunteers must be 16 years of age unless accompanied by an adult. All volunteers will receive a commemorative T-shirt.
Participants can volunteer for a minimum two hour shift between 3 p.m. and midnight, Friday or Saturday.
The Southwest Ambulance Arizona Celebration of Freedom is being coordinated with the efforts of many community groups, including Mesa Sertoma Club; Downtown Mesa Association; Mesa Convention and Visitors Bureau; City of Mesa; Downtown Events, Inc. and Downtown Mesa Merchants.
