My name is Sarah and I am currently a junior undergraduate at Duquesne University, majoring in Classical Latin. I currently have a 3.74 grade point average and am a member of the Dean's List, as well as various honors societies.
I have been taking Latin since the 6th grade, and I am now at the highest levels of Latin courses offered at Duquesne. I am also president of our college chapter of Eta Sigma Phi (the National Honors Society for Classical Studies), as well as president of the Duquesne Classics Club.
I have extensive experience tutoring middle school, high school, and even college Latin students. Additionally, during my high school years I taught my own sister Latin while she was homeschooling. I come from a family of educators, and I am very eager to help any student in need of help.
I have my own teaching methods which I have discovered to be very successful in improving memorization in grammar and syntax, which I find to be two of the leading challenges Latin students face. In addition, I also have experience tutoring children with learning disabilities, including ADHD.
I live in Oakland and have car transportation as well as various classical library and faculty resources. I am always eager to help new students learn the language I love!
Additionally I should note that my rate of payment is flexible.
Should you need a Latin tutor or teacher, I am readily available with a flexible schedule.
