Title: Business Development Manger

Summary:

Join one of the most innovative fast action teams in Silicon Valley. In 2010 Skyline began delivering a ground-breaking, scalable and cost effective solar power technology for the commercial, industrial and utility segments. Production systems are already being deployed and will soon provide many megawatts of clean power around the world. Skyline is funded by top-tier venture capital and industry investors.

You'll be part of Skyline’s core business team and responsible for projects across the full spectrum of commercial activities. Key activities will include account management, sales operations & support, project finance evaluation, economic and competitive analysis, and partner selection.

Qualifications:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
* 5+ years experience in customer-facing business role(s) such as business development or sales
* Thorough knowledge of business fundamentals; MBA a plus
* BS/BA degree; engineering, finance or other technical field a plus
* Experience with energy generation deals, solar or other clean energy a plus
* Experience building sophisticated financial decision-making models and understanding of project finance concepts
* Experience working closely with sales, marketing, and business development teams to win deals
* Demonstrated interest in the clean technology industry
* Strong understanding of financial modeling concepts, especially with regard to power project development
* Superb quantitative, writing and communications skills

Responsibilities:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
* Manage and support relationships with customers and strategic alliance & channel partners
* Develop internal processes for business development/sales administration, lead qualification, CRM, etc.
* Drive competitive analysis and detailed financial business modeling in response to customer requests
* Develop decision-making tools to support business development activities – model financial return scenarios, assess economic tradeoffs, etc.
* Manage and support RFP responses and applications for government funding opportunities
* Communicate customer and end-user feedback to marketing team
* Actively participate in production scheduling and inventory planning efforts
* Identify & communicate opportunities to improve sales strategies and processes to drive higher levels of growth
* Provide direct support to company executives on strategic and tactical corporate issues

Other desirable personal qualities and skills:

* Active solar industry network and relationships with project developers
* Experience in contracts and partnership negotiations
* International business experience
* Experience with licensing and intellectual property agreements
* Must be able to work independently and drive business development efforts
* Team player capable of working support requirements cross-functionally within the company
* Creativity in finding approaches to achieve company and customer goals
