Dear Friends, Earlier this season, my two precious dogs and I moved into a tipi to follow a personal calling to live closer to the Earth, to strike a balance between being a contributing part of greater society and honoring the Mother by living more simply and with more truthful, experiential regard and respect for her cycles. My ultimate goal is to live a sustainable life of absolute personal accountability for what I receive, and for what I give, to and from every rock, tree, and creature around me. I feel like I have just begun to achieve this, and I look forward to experiencing this with greater depth this summer on into October, when I graduate from massage school.
My tipi is currently pitched on private land in Jamestown, but unfortunately circumstances have changed, and I need to find a new place for my tipi, As Soon As Possible.
My hope is that a good person who owns private land, a farm, or a ranch, outside of town 30 minutes or less from Boulder or "in town with a sizeable yard," might see this posting and be open to hosting my little family and I on our journey.
In my current situation, I work 7 hours per week on the property in exchange for permission to live on the land, and I pay for utilities. I am experienced in fire mitigation, gardening, general labor, admin, and very willing to learn livestock. I am open to a similar trade agreement, or paying rent. I would need access to electricity, running water is optional. I also hope for internet access and if there is no cell phone reception, use of a land line.
My two dogs are well behaved certified therapy dogs for Boulder Mental Health Center (where I work), and with me or at friends' much of the time. I am a Healing Spirits massage student.
Please contact me if you might be able to host me on your land. I also welcome any recommendations or referrals that might come to mind.
