We are looking for experienced Underwriters to join our Processing Services team in Rocky Hill, CT.
This position handles all details relating to closing fulfillment.
The successful candidate will possess: • 3-5 years previous mortgage underwriting experience or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Thorough working knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines and automated underwriting engines.
• A willingness to perform other duties, as required.
The ideal candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including possible Saturdays and/or Sundays. Department schedule consists of rotating shifts that fall Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm.
To be qualified, the candidate must meet the following minimum requirements: • Underwrite first and second mortgage loans for various lenders according to their prescribed guidelines, using DU/LP and any other automated underwriting engines.
• Review and approve conditions for compliance and completion of loan file.
• Maintains current knowledge of lender and investor requirements.
• Assists in the development of policy, procedure, process flows and integration of new clients.
• Available to work extra hours as determined by management.
