POSITION The PMM drives our product roadmaps including 3-year product development plan to maximize return on investment. The PMM is responsible for defining and understanding markets, competitors, users and buyers of thermostat products. In addition, they will develop the Market Requirements Document (MRD) - capturing the requirements deemed critical for market acceptance. The PMM works closely with engineering, marketing, sales, operations and management to develop and advocate product positioning, messaging, value drivers, benefits, go-to-market plans and differentiation. Collaborating across the organization, the PMM develops go-to-market plans and initiatives that drive business results, with the ultimate goal of rapid market acceptance, sales success and increasing market share. This individual will successfully drive products from product definition to development through to end of life.
RESPONISIBILITIES * Conduct market and competitor analysis within assigned product line(s). Synthesize findings, discuss with our employees and potential customers, and recommend Product Roadmaps to Business Unit Manager or Company President * Proactively monitor market trends, sales reports, pricing trends, price volume implications, etc. Provide insights and make recommendations which are aligned with short and long-term business priorities. * Define customer needs; identify new product definitions, and champion product portfolio strategies and product development priorities to support company growth objectives. * Actively participate on relevant core teams and drive smooth product launches with MARCOM and Product Management. * Develop and update effective marketing collateral * Review, edit and at times, prepare Operators Manual and Installation Guides. * Effectively develop messaging and positioning * Define and implement marketing campaigns to promote product adoption * Develop and leverage relationships with key industry thought leaders to initiate, develop, and expand awareness of our company's thermostats in existing and potentially new market opportunities. * Lead development and deployment of necessary training to all relevant parties regarding assigned product line(s). Anticipate and address needs of various sales and distribution channels and geographies.
QUALIFICIATIONS * 4 - 6 years experience in marketing in consumer electronic devices or related field. * BS in Engineering, Computer Science or technical discipline plus a Masters in Business Administration or in the process of attaining an MBA. * Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products: In Design, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Ability to use these software tools to create marketing collateral's. If not proficient on each tool, ability and willingness to learn quickly on your own time. * Knowledge of consumer electronic devices and the underlying technologies. * Understanding of marketing environmental analysis and its application to drive product requirements. * Travel required
