Momentum Performance is a new force in the automotive aftermarket. Founded in mid 2008, we design and manufacture performance parts for the automotive aftermarket ranging from accessories to full turbo kits and exhaust systems. We are adding new products and new cars to the line-up quarterly. Word is spreading of the quality and performance of our parts, and we’re currently searching for a driven and talented candidate to join our leadership team as Vice President of Procurement and Distribution.
Momentum is an entrepreneurial company and this is an entrepreneurial position. What does that mean? You must want and be able to build something great. In this position, you’ll be building a strong and efficient supplier and distribution network, as well as managing the product in house. Interested yet?
Under the direction of the President, VP of Procurement and Distribution will be responsible for establishing vendor relationships and developing product pricing, quality, and availability agreements with both US and overseas manufacturers. In addition, you will responsible for selecting shipping vendors and maintaining inventory accountability. Responsibilities: • Manage the responsibilities for sourcing products and services for Momentum Performance. These include: o Provide procurement, negotiating, contracting, and supplier management expertise to meet objectives and company savings and cost avoidance goals. o Understand company's objectives in order to design and implement processes to identify and select suppliers and products that meet those objectives. • Manage the responsibilities for inventory management and product distribution into our dealer network. These include: o Maintain inventory accountability of products due for delivery to the warehouse, stored in the warehouse, and shipped from the warehouse. o Maintain shipper pricelists, quotes and contract data. Review and negotiate shipper contracts as needed. o Evaluate current work procedures to continually develop and implement packing and warehouse procedures to eliminate inefficiencies. Some of the daily tasks that the VP of Procurement and Distribution will be responsible for are: o Setting up accounts with vendors/manufacturers o Acquiring pricing, production timeline, and payment schedules with vendors/manufacturers o Answering CAD related design questions about manufactured parts using Solidworks CAD software o Placing orders with vendors/manufacturing o Receiving, stocking, and electronic organization of orders o Managing inventory and re-ordering parts when necessary o Receiving product orders from Momentum dealers o Organizing dealer orders and scheduling shipment o Packaging and shipment of dealer orders o Organizing and stocking of shipping supplies
