I am going to start by saying this is the loudest and clearest system I have ever heard. I never went above 30 for the volume for my head-unit because it was already loud enough. My parents used to know when I was coming home from school because they could hear my sound system playing from 500 yards away. I remember the first time I came home and played the system in the garage the entire garage was shaking and my mom came running out screaming. It was quite hilarious actually.
1) Nevertheless, one of the most underrated parts about the system has to be the vented enclosure. Now the advantage of the vented enclosure over the sealed enclosure is that air obviously escapes allowing the system to never overheat and allows the system to be louder.
2) The next part that many systems don't have is the capacitor. The capacitor is very important because it will help you get the most from your amplifier. It will store power for release on demand, delivering it to your amplifier just when it's needed.
3) Where most sound systems fail is with the amplifier. Most sound systems fail because they don't have enough power in their amplifier to support the actual subwoofers. Now, most people will go on here and tell you there amplifier puts out this many max watts. The only number that matters is the RMS wattage. The RMS is what the subwoofers are constantly hitting at. The RMS for this amplifier is 1500 RMS and on the recommended wattage for these two subwoofers is between 1000-2000 RMS.
4) Now what makes this system is obviously the two 12" 9500 MTX subwoofers. These babies put out 1000 RMS watts a piece. Now although Pitbull sucks because he steals music Hey You Girl sounds sick on this system as well as some of my other favorite bass songs such as Throw It Up and I Feel Like Dying. These subs will cost you about anywhere from $380-500 (excluding tax and shipping) a piece if you buy them new.
Alright so I bought the entire system for $2000 and I am selling it for $1000. I assume the demand for a system like this isn't high so I am willing to sell it for half of what I paid for it 6 months ago. I am willing to meet as far as half way to Philadelphia. The reason I am selling these is because my dad ran into a deer on Route 19 (how he did that I have no idea) and totaled my car so we had to sell the car and therefore the subs had to come out of the car. I am a college student now so I plan on putting the money towards school and thats why I am selling them and because we only have two cars now instead of three.
My Crazy Gorilla Math is like this:
Amplifer $250. I paid $500 for it and a used one on Amazon is running for $319 right now
Subwoofers $300/piece. These subs are in PERFECT condition and new ones run for 380-500 (excluding tax and shipping)
Box/Capacitor/Wires $150. A capacitor runs for about $100 these days and this box cost me about $120 so I think it is a pretty fair deal
Head-unit $250. I am throwing this in for free to sweeten the deal a little bit. It is worth $250 according to the site at the end but I figured most people had their own head-unit so whether you want it or not the choice is ultimately up to you. This head-unit is pretty nasty and at night the blue lightens up and makes it look really sweet.
