Child Development Director – Hall Neighborhood House, a grant driven non-profit social service agency, seeks a hands-on person to direct activities of its infant/toddler and preschool child care center serving about 250 children.

• Member of the Hall Neighborhood House executive management team
• Manage the operation of the NAEYC accredited child care center
• Strong and effective leadership abilities in early childhood education

• A baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education and
• At least 12 credit-bearing hours of specialized college-level course work in administration, leadership and management, and
• At least 24 credit-bearing hours of specialized college-level course work in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education that encompasses child development and children's learning from birth through kindergarten; family and community relationships; the practices of observing, documenting, and assessing young children; teaching and learning processes; and professional practices and development and
• Five years experience as the director of an early childhood education program of similar size and nature and
• Standard or Master level CT Director’s Credential dependent upon the degree of the candidate or
• Within six months of employment, agree to present a plan for obtaining the Standard or Master CT Director’s Credential within two years of employment.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and a working knowledge of Procare (Child Care Management Program) and MIP (Accounting software) preferred.
