Hi, my name is Jonie Stiner and I work for All Hands Interpreting and Deaf Services. We have recently started The 3rd Hand Project and Jobs Program. The 3rd hand project is a resource for our Deaf community. After doing an intake with our clients we set them up with emergency needs such as clothing and toiletries. Our clients may come one time every three months and receive one outfit, two for children, and a toiletries bag. After setting them up with their immediate needs we help plug them into resources in their local community throughout Oregon. The Jobs Program works with the Deaf community helping them find work and complete our job training. We provide clothes to them that are proper attire for an interview. Our goal is to help our Deaf community become self sufficient and successful in life.
With that being said we are currently looking for donations so we may provide them with their needs. We are taking clothing for all ages and sizes, shoes, some baby equipment, toiletries, and clothing suitable for interviews. However we will not be excepting underwear, socks, or bras as we will be raising money to purchase those items new. If you or anyone you know would like to donate even a small amount please contact me @ 541-525-7926 We can also come and pick up donations if this would be easier for you. Your donations are very much appreciated and may God Bless you for your generous donations to help our deaf community.
