I am looking for smokers (at least 18 years of age) who smoke at least 10 cigarettes a day over the past year and are not currently attempting to quit to participate in a study of the biological, cognitive, and behavioral aspects involved in smoking behavior. All participants must have normal or corrected-to-normal vision and must abstain from tobacco use at least 8 hours prior to participating in the study.
The study will last approximately one hour and will also require participants to attend a short 5-10 minute session on a day prior to participating. You will be asked to complete questionnaires about your tobacco use and mood. In addition, you will be asked to smoke a cigarette and complete two computer tasks.
Compensation for participating will be $10!!
The study will take place at Texas State University in the Psychology Building (Room 314).
