San Diego Community College District is seeking Men and Women for future full time employment as contract instructors in support of the Navy Security Forces Training under the direction of the Center for Security Forces Learning Sites.
Selected Candidates will:
• Conduct training for Navy personnel and Government civilian. • Training environment will consist of group paced using classroom and on site facilities. • Training will normally be conducted eight hours a day five days a week. • Candidates must be capable of passing a physical exam, background investigation and periodic drug testing.
Provide selected personnel with the knowledge and skills to perform duties as Mechanical Breacher in support of Maritime Interdiction Operations. Using a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory instruction, laboratory practical application, and scenario based application. Topics addressed during this course will include; Safety; Breacher purpose; Mission Planning and Target Analysis; Manual entry tools techniques; Mechanical entry tools and techniques; Ballistic (Shotgun) entry tool; Exothermic (touch) entry tool and techniques; Breaching Scenarios.
• Documented experience in Maritime Operations, specifically VBSS/VBSS Boarding Officer. • Tactical operational Breaching Experience. • Weapons Instructor Certification (0812) or closely related specialty highly desirable. • Two years military or civilian law enforcement with security operational experience. • Four years of practical experience in the area of Navy Security. Force leadership or Antiterrorism program management. • Basic knowledge of Security Force Training and Readiness, Antiterrorism Planning, law enforcement and security operations. • Awarded 9502 NEC or equivalent and at least one year documented experience as a classroom instructor. • CPR/First Aid Certification
