Description: Mirror Films is a film production company based in Los Angeles, CA. We produce films, videos, documentaries and commercials and represent directors both in the U.S. and abroad.
This internship will start, spring 2010. The intern will gain marketing and social media experience. This is an unpaid internship. Applicants seeking college credit preferred.
The position is part time, requiring at least a 4-month/20 hour a week commitment. The intern will be working both remotely (from home) and in the office.
The social media/marketing internship responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Writing and formatting blog posts for the Mirror Films Blog. • Maintenance of the Mirror Films Blog (updating versions, plugins, replying to comments, etc) • Creating html web news pages • Researching event and industry related tradeshows • Update Mirror Twitter, Facebook and Flicker Page and other social media accounts • Staying up-to-date with social media developments • Keeping a log of all social media activity • Administrative tasks
Required skills include:
• Basic HTML knowledge – this is an absolute must! Only applicants with HTML knowledge will be considered all others will be turned away. • Basic Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator knowledge • Experience with blogging platforms such as: Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr, etc. • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Experience with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Time management • Organizational skills • Leadership • General Communications skills
Other skills that would be a plus:
Please note that this internship will focus on the social media and PR side of the company, while some film production related work will be done, day-to-day responsibilities will focus on social media and marketing.
