I am looking for those professionals (NPs, MDs, DOs) who are interested and dedicated to teaching the future! See below for more information!

About Myself:
My name is Tasha Rickermann. I graduated from Saint Louis University’s accelerated program in 2006 with a BSN in Nursing. I am currently enrolled at St. Louis University’s Family Nurse Practitioner/Educator route and am due to graduate in December of 2011. I have worked in acute care med/surg, public health department doing public health education, and cardiac step-down acute care, and presently in a physician practice.

2011 is going to be a trying year during my educational development and I am looking for excited, uplifting, and supportive individuals who are excited about teaching the next generation!

January-April of 2011 my clinical experience requires 140 hours of adult care. This course is titled Advanced Clinical Studies of Adults in which I may seek rotations with internal medicine or family practice NP's or primary care physicians. This is a role in which I am familiar and comfortable with because I have been practicing with this population within my nursing career.

May-August of 2011 my clinical experience requires 140 hours of OBGYN and pediatric care. This course is title Advanced Clinical Studies of Families in which I may seek a family practice (either NP or MD), OB-GYN physician or CNM or WHCNP, PNP, or Pediatrician as pertinent to the course content. This is a role in which I have minimal experience. I am able to perform well woman pap exams and well woman breast exams with ease and confidence. Other material is not as familiar.

August-December of 2011 is my final clinical experience. This rotation is a comprehensive learning experience of everything the Family Nurse Practitioner may encounter. This rotation involves 240 clinical hours and may be done with all specialties, subspecialties and areas of family practice. This rotation is not limited to anyone of particular credentials or experiences in certain populations but is an opportunity to explore the various areas not already explored or what has been explored and enjoyed.

I am currently seeking those professionals who have a varied schedule from the norm. I would like ideally like to be working my clinical hours on evenings/nights and weekends if the opportunity allows. I am a very excited ‘sponge’ ready to absorb any knowledge and wisdom you have to offer!!

Please contact me if you are at all interested in precepting any days/times/or specialties. I do not expect one person to take on the entire amount of time or experience but every little bit helps and the more time I can spend with you the more comfortable we both become, and then learning comes easier and enjoyable.

Tasha Rickermann, RN
