The Pit will be sponsoring our second annual ‘Cuegrass Festival on Saturday, April 17th. The event will feature our famous Eastern-style North Carolina barbecue, great bluegrass music, and local beer with proceeds going to North Carolina Future Farmers of America and The W.C. Breeze Family Farm. We’re expecting over 7,000 guests in attendance and will be preparing days in advance to make sure everything goes off without a hitch!
Starting Thursday afternoon, April 15th we’ll have shifts available for staff and volunteers to help with prepping and cooking hogs, manning cookers, processing meat, assembling sandwiches, expediting the line and a myriad assortment of other duties before and during the event necessary to produce such a large scale party. We currently have shifts available at the following times: Thursday, April 15th: 3-8pm Friday, April 16th: 4-9pm Saturday, April 17th: 5am-2pm, 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm
