Organic Farm Customer Service & Shipping Coordinator
We are a certified organic farm located in the South Kendall/Perrine area of Miami. We are growers of organic winter vegetables, herbs, sprouts, wheatgrass, and tropical fruits, and makers of gourmet raw vegan organic foods. We create and prepare our line of products in kitchens located on the farm property, and have a new farm store to open in summer 2010. Our retail services include: Farmer's Market, on-line shopping and pick-ups, and we wholesale to local health food stores with daily delivery and ship to health food stores around the United States using UPS Worldship. We have been providing fresh organic produce and organic raw vegan foods for over 29 years and are dedicated to providing supportive lifestyle products and information/education that sustains and promotes health and well-being.
Candidate must possess an understanding of organic principles and be able to communicate to customer inquiries regarding our organic raw vegan products. In addition:
Interact with customers on all high level issues; product education, order taking and general customer support. Taking care all of matters involving and concerning shipping using UPS World Ship; including informing customers of our policies, charges and calculating their best shipping options.
This position includes answering phones, creating invoices and shipping labels, troubleshooting for all UPS and Overnight shipping, answering company emails. Must be proficient in the English language and have excellent phone etiquette and communication skills (proficiency for both English and Spanish a plus). Be able to work as a team member and independently with minimal supervision. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, knowledge of QuickBooks a plus.
The ideal candidate possesses:
Strong customer service skills. Maturity, friendliness, professionalism and a positive can-do attitude. The ability to self-direct work and effectively multi-task. Strong oral and written communication skills. Good problem solving skills, the ability to work as a team member, as well as take individual initiative and work with minimal supervision. Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, knowledge of QuickBooks a plus. Friendly and strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of personnel, and customers. Ability to maintain confidential employee and customer information. Attention to detail and the ability to follow tasks through to completion. Education: 2 years college or similar.
