This rapidly growing industry and our technical leadership provides us with wide range of new opportunities in a broad spectrum of applications, such as surveillance, gaming, law enforcement, life sciences, aerospace, machine vision, biometrics, and diagnostic imaging. We are continuously developing new products ranging from conventional analog CCD & CMOS cameras to USB & Internet Protocol (IP) systems. Many of these products are integrated into systems by OEM customers such as Carl Zeiss and Diebold.
Presently we have an opportunity in our product development group for an Applications Engineer who will provide technical expertise and support to our sales team and customers.
The basic responsibilities for the person in this position are: « Support sales and customers for design-in activity related to cameras and associated products, including hardware, software, and firmware considerations. « Demonstrate Videology products, including suitability to meet customer requirements and to integrate with customer systems. « Develop and edit product application notes, data sheets, instruction manuals, and other supporting documents in coordination with other staff members. « Develop and maintain FAQ logs for each product suitable for use by 1st line customer service staff. « Coordinate with Videology Europe Applications Engineering to ensure best utilization of corporate knowledge and optimization of issue resolution for all entities. « Utilize field experience to support Videology‘¦s R&D activities. « Travel to customer sites and trade shows as required to fulfill the duties listed above.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of (3-5) years related experience, including: « Operation of analog and digital cameras, lenses (including autofocus zoom and fixed) , and related video test equipment. « Working with camera parameters such as gamma, gain, shuttering, white balance and synchronization, and application of the principles of interactions between these parameters to modify them for optimal results for the application. « Troubleshooting software, firmware, timing, synchronization, and similar issues. « Installation & maintenance of video surveillance equipment, preferably on a large scale. « Utilization of digital storage systems setup for video surveillance systems, such as DVR,s SD cards, and hard drives. « Practical application of MPEG4, MJPEG, & H.264 video compression. « Computer hardware and operating systems (Windows & Linux). « Networking, managed routers, firewalls and switches. « Installing, configuring, and diagnosing issues related to hardware device drivers.
