I was recently terminated after almost 6 years with this company. Until 4 months ago, I had never recieved a write up. 6 months ago the human resources director wanted me to fill out FMLA paper work because I have Emphysema. She asked if it was chronic, well, no duh!
I filled out the FMLA Paperwork, even though I was not applying for it voluntarily, and returned it. I was told I had to mark FMLA on all my sick time off, as well as have a doctors note to return to work. I can understand this part, and had no qualms about it.
All of the sudden, I am written up 4 times in 4 months. All of the write ups are questionable, only 1 could I even think of agreeing with, the other 3 are highly questionable since I was never told of the incidents, or given any information that I could have defended myself against.
I really need advice fast. Any consultation would be appreciated. I think any attorney that sees this case will consider contingency, as I think it is a good strong case, but I am not the PRO.
