1.) How many cards do I accept in a Day? Week? or Month? and what TYPES of cards am I accepting? The type of card accepted is the BIG question. Why is this a big question? Well the type of card used, by your customer, equals the type of rate your charged. There are 4 different rates, for the different cards that consumers use. There is a Check Card Rate, Qualified Rate, Mid-Qualified Rate, and a Non-Qualified Rate.
Check Card Rate: This is when a consumer has a Debit Card but instead of using it with their PIN, it's ran as a Credit Card.
Qualified Rate: This is when a consumer has a regular Visa, Master Card, credit card. No rewards or flyer miles.
Mid-Qualified Rate: These are cards that offer REWARDS.
Non-Qualified Rate: These are Corp. Cards, Small Business Cards, Forgin Visa Cards, and if the card has to be manually enter.
To find out the answer to how many cards and what type, look at the statement your provider sends you each month. This will tell you how many transactions you had and how many for each rate.

2.) Am I set up correctly? But most important am I PCI compliant? How do I know if I'm set up correctly? How do I know if I'm PCI compliant? What is PCI compliant? PCI compliant means that your processing equipment is up to security requirments. An easy way to find this out is to go to the PCI Counsels website and take their questionair. Being PCI compliant can save you your business. Most Credit Card fraud is done by HACKERS. They target small business to obtain the card informtaion they need. Now you may think this could never happen to me. In reality, if your not already PCI complient, it may of already have. Some people think so they got that informtation. It doesn't affect me. Wrong!! All major credit card company's track each customers purchases and compaire them to that persons normall spending habits. If they suspect that a customers information has been obtained by an outside source, and it's tracked back to you, it means major fines for you. Most fines range from $15,000-$30,000 per transaction. NOT customer! TRANSACTION! This can cause you to lose your business.

3.) What kind of service am I revieving from my current Electronic Payment Managing Company? Is it face to face local service or do I get put on hold for 45-65min when I need to contact them?

These are three very important questions to ask yourself about your business and your provider.
