This is a 6 month contract that is then supposed to go perm.
Contract Objective: Provide medical records support services to the State Medical Office. The Contractors shall perform a range of medical related administrative tasks for Health Services, Jefferson City, MO, office as detailed in this statement.
The following technical specifications are provided to demonstrate the task environment in which the services will be delivered. The following specifications are not directives on how the services are to be provided but an example of what traditionally has been required to successfully support the task order objective. The contractor is encouraged to surpass the minimal technical specifications as well as demonstrate technical, operational, and administrative expertise to support the customer in exceeding organizational and departmental objectives.
Provide management assistance, and administrative/clerical support for medical records preparation and maintenance.
Contractor shall provide clerical and administrative support on medical product requirements to the Deputy State Surgeon.
Assist with auditing the medical record inventory.
Assemble patient health information, making sure that Soldiers’ medical records are complete and that all forms are completed and properly identified.
Communicate and coordinate with team and management using both verbal and written methods.
Organize and evaluate medical records for completeness and accuracy.
Files Support Services.
Assist with retrieving and filing medical records for Periodic Health Assessments, Soldier Readiness Processing, and miscellaneous medical examinations.
Additional Requirements and Notes:
The Contractor is encouraged to be but not required to be: a registered Health Information Clerk, have a health related Associate’s Degree or higher, have experience with hard copy medical records in a health care setting, and be in compliance with HIPAA (Business Association Agreement).
The Contractor shall have working knowledge of:
Microsoft Access database usage and computer in general.
Organizational skills to track progress, updates, suspense’s, and all elements required for medical record completion.
Communication skills, interpersonal skills, and confidence to work and coordinate with other employees.
Anticipated number of man-hours for this position will be an average of 40 hours per week. Time in excess of 40 hours is highly discouraged and must be pre-approved by the Contracting Officer.
Hours of Operation: The contractor shall perform the services required under this contract within core operating hours which are 0630 – 1700 hrs (8 hours daily per contractor) Monday thru Friday.
