I offer GRE (general), SAT (I), PSAT, and LSAT tutoring, as well as general academic tutoring and writing assistance.
*My scores were: GRE 2270/2400, SAT 1440/1600; PSAT 1460/1600.
*At age 19, I scored 800s (perfect) on both the GRE Math and Analytic sections. (Verification on request.) (The GRE has changed its Analytic format since then. Now you write an essay; what I took was more like the LSAT's multiple-choice version.)
*I am a 31-year old published author with a PhD, have taught for almost 10 years at the college level (I know--I started early!), and also happen to have worked at two standardized test "Scoring Centers."
*My standard rate is $20/hour for a 2-hour session ($40 total).
*I take up to 50% of my clients pro bono (totally free!), especially low-income middle-school and high school students. (Parents, get in touch with me!)
*I am most effective on the Math and Analytic/Logic sections, because Verbal sections are harder to improve in a short period of time. We can try, though. The actual tests are typically taken on a computer, but it will benefit you most to purchase a few used practice-test books and take one or two practice tests before we meet (they're very cheap at used book stores; you may be able to find some online, but you'll need to print the results for us to use). Score them yourself using the answer key. Show me your answers, I'll do my magic (go through your answers with you in detail, and repeat) and you'll have a better chance of scoring higher.
*As well as tutoring, I also offer proofreading and writing advice for course papers and homework.
Hope to hear from you soon!
