I am looking to try and start a Christian band. The band name is already set in stone. I am a local musician with average skill on guitar and I play on Sunday mornings for worship at my church. I want Spiritual Men and Women only, you must love the Lord and live according to God's word (as best as we all can, given our imperfections). I have an open mind and am well rounded, both in the world and as a Christian. I have been saved for almost four years. Our testimonies are important to the band and to the world and you will be asked to share it from time to time. I just want to have fun, meet new Christians, make lasting friendships, encourage one-another, Spread the Gospel and play music for the Lord. I am hoping that you will send me an e-mail to let me know you are interested in the same....I do have a friend that has his own recording studio and won't mind us using it to record in (I hope anyway)
These are the positions still open (YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT): Keyboard/Piano, Drummer(s), Bass, Guitar (lead and rhythem), vocalists (lead and backup), and any other instruments you might be skilled in.....
I do not want to limit the abilities of others, so variety is going to be a key to the bands sound. I also don't want to exclude any "types" of music. For example: Contemporary, Praise and Worship, Gospel, and the list goes on and on, Even Christian RAP if someone so chooses. I will not be the one to hinder God's plans or work even if I have to endure Christian RAP for the glory of GOD!!! Paul became all things to all people and that is the Idea.
I want to hear from you no matter your skill level, because it isn't about you or me or how well one plays as long as GOD gets the glory. I ask that you please e-mail me ASAP. Please include in your e-mail your contact info, name and what your talent(s) are. I wont be picky. Maby this could turn into more and there could be some exposure, it will be in GOD's hands. I am very busy during the week as I am a more than full time college student and I work part time for my church. That means practice will be limited to once or maby twice a week (probably Friday and Sat. evenings). I want to turn this into a ministry of sorts which the band or bands will have to be in agreement on in a democratic way.
