Greetings from Camp Buckskin! We are a traditional overnight summer camp working with children with social skill and academic needs. We are located in the Superior National Forest in Northern Minnesota near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Ely, MN. We've served over 8 000 young people during our past 50 summers.
Since 1959, Camp Buckskin has been serving campers with AD/HD, Learning Disabilities, and Aspersers to help them achieve greater success in their lives.
Nursing assistants will help the nurses (licensed RN's) conduct the initial health screening of all campers, provide medical attention to campers and staff with health concerns, distribute and record camper medication at all three meals and before bed time, maintain Health Center records and medical forms, and assist in any other heath care or medical concerns. In addition, a nursing assistant will help teach one of our six main daily activities, assist in evening activities and meal times, and read a bed time story to an assigned cabin group.
