Greetings from Camp Buckskin! We are a traditional overnight summer camp working with children with social skill and academic needs. We are located in the Superior National Forest in Northern Minnesota near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Ely, MN. We've served over 8 000 young people during our past 50 summers.
Since 1959, Camp Buckskin has been serving campers with AD/HD, Learning Disabilities, and Aspersers to help them achieve greater success in their lives.
Our Office Assistants are responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the camp office. This includes answering the phone, typing reports, assisting the directors when needed, filing forms, keeping the office organized, helping staff when they come to the office, running the camp canteen, and sorting the mail. There is the opportunity to work with the campers in the evening in various recreational activities. You will also be able to read a bed time story to an assigned cabin group.
Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, have good organizational skills, and ability to work independently and with others. You must have an interest and desire to work with children and adolescents who have social skill and academic needs. Applicants must also be a positive role model for our campers and have a willingness to work as part of a team. Preferred certifications: current CPR and First Aid.
We offer compensation + room/board for the summer! Compensation is based on prior experience plus certifications.
If you have a current resume to send us that would be appreciated.
