“A man that is a man will yield for peace sake as far as his soul is unhampered, but beyond that he will ask, ‘Who makes these regulations, and to what end are they made?’ Find them to be worthless and injurious, he will put his foot through them, and there will be an end of the rubbish.” - Charles Spurgeon ____________________________________________________________________________________________
Are you a guy in your 20s to 30s?
Do you believe in taking Christianity seriously?
Are you often (insert “annoyed, bored, smothered, disgusted, uncomfortable, etc.” here) when you go to church?
Do church Bible studies kill your brain cells (by constantly harping on emotional, feel-good crap) instead of actually getting you to really study the Bible? Are you just tired of hearing what you know is constant BULLS**T?
And oh yeah ... does church suck because you can’t talk to all the other effeminate, yuppy, latte-sipping, doormats that pass for“men” in church these days?
We’re looking for Christian guys who often don’t necessarily go to church right now but are still interested in following Christ.
So, if you are interested, consider joining our -
BEER & THE BIBLE STUDY
Warning: this isn’t going to be some shallow, insipid, milk-sopping, pop psychology excuse for a “care group” Bible study. Our only text will be the Bible. We will be practicing the “inductive method.” The goal of this Bible Study will be to make everyone work hard and think hard - and make friendships while doing so. Doing this will change how you act during the rest of the week.
If interested, call Jeremy at 559 901 9538. ____________________________________________________________________________________________
“About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity ...” - Hebrews 5:11-6:1
