We have an opening sometime in April and we are looking for a long-term employee that will grow with our company. Your hourly rate will be low, but will increase as you train and increase your responsibly. We do not offer any benefits at this time.
Our current Assistant is Awesome! She has experience as a substitute teacher, which allows her to understand the needs of our students and parents and is able to cover a tutor when late or absent. She is also friendly and out-going with the customers; proficient with the computer programs, schedules and payments; Takes charge when needed and makes sure everything runs smoothly. She is also leaving on maternity leave and will come back in a different capacity.
This position will be in charge of all schedules for tutoring, classes, workshops, summer camp, etc. You must be extremely accurate and not be frustrated when changes occur. You have to be a multi-tasker, because the phone will be ringing, while helping a customer, and then a student or tutor might need you too….. Evenings get very, very busy when we have science workshops, tutoring and customers all going on at the same time.
There is nobody to cover you if you are out, so attendance is high priority. If a tutor is out, you may have to cover for them. An aspiring teacher would be preferred. You must be proficient up to at least today’s Algebra, not 5+ years ago.
You will be teaching Creative Art and Science workshops along with many different Girl Scout events. During the summer we have tutoring plus summer camps for kids.
You will be in charge of updating our website, sending out a monthly email blast and keeping track of accounts receivables. This means you will be calling and asking for payments every Friday. Be sure that you a great on the phone, not quiet and shy.
You will be keeping the studio clean, picking up after people, washing windows, sweeping & mopping, and even cleaning the bathroom.

You have to LOVE children of all ages and their parents, no matter if they have an issue or not. You have to always be upbeat and energetic. No Drama, please.
