Job Description: Assist with on-the-ground implementation of harvesting, Planning, preparation, road construction, maintenance, and related management Activities to maintain long term production of lands within management unit. Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and administration of individual contracts to Carry out forest management activities. Prepare, monitor, and provide input for budgets and forecasts. Assist in all aspects of planning and related land use including reports and unit Protection. Implement company policies, including Stimsonís Forestry Principles and Compliance with the Sustainable Forestry initiative. Ensure that all activities are in compliance with State and Federal laws. And participate in efforts related to security, fire protection and recreational projects.
Qualifications: The position requires a degree in resource management, preferably a 4 year degree with A major in one of the forestry disciplines. Successful applicant must have field experience in forest land management, including Supervisory and operational responsibilities (not required for entry level.
