Summary: The AVP of Marketing Science will work closely with research and sales staff to support client initiatives and supply research support behind selling efforts.
Responsibilities: • Guiding the planning, implementation, interpretation, and monitoring of multivariate statistical analysis for healthcare projects. • Managing the timely and cost-effective completion of all aspects of multivariate analysis, including perceptual mapping, conjoint analysis, regression, statistical testing, sample design/weighting, etc. • Ensuring consistency in statistical/multivariate deliverables from staff and consultants. • Providing consultative support to Research staff in day-to-day statistical issues, and participating at client meetings when a statistical presence is deemed critical to a sale or communication of project results.
Requirements: • 5 to 10 years experience in marketing science in the pharmaceutical industry. • Masters degree in quantitatively oriented discipline such as statistics, operations research, decision analysis, management science, quantitative psychology, or econometrics is required; a PhD is a plus. • Ability to understand and conduct all complex multivariate analyses as they relate to survey data. Expertise in at least one general multivariate statistical package, such as SPSS or SAS. • Expertise in application packages such as Sawtooth Software or Latent Gold. Experience in the analysis of prescription data (such as IMS’ Xponent) together with survey data is a definite advantage. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
