Location: Tillamook, OR

** Local candidates preferred, but relocation is open for the PERFECT FIT, must fit all criteria below.
**Company is almost 100 years old, very strong and stable timber / mill operations in various locations.

Timber/ Mill Site: Tillamook

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 DOE

Candidate will provide a safe environment through a continuous improvement culture that produces a high quality product with emphasis on product value, profitability, and cost management. Successful candidate will need to challenge direct reports to grow in and beyond their positions. Quality,
safety, environmental, and production areas will need to be challenged by analyzing and fostering a Continuous Improvement Program through project justification, goal setting, cause and effect, evaluation, process completion, and follow-up. Successful candidate must also be able to learn quickly; be inquisitive and think "outside the box," have high energy and expectations, and a can-do spirit; embrace confrontation; set standards and hold employees accountable for individual and team performance; be firm, consistent, passionate, and organized.

Duties include: lead by example and hold employees accountable for unsafe work practices; take an equal responsibility to prioritize, plan and schedule completion of all items identified in quarterly safety audits; and continually communicate a comprehensive, interactive safety meeting that targets and identifies behaviors and hazards. Responsible to maintain and improve the PM/TPM program with maintenance and operations; be interactive in maintenance and production meetings, measuring the group as one identity; manage spare parts inventory and storage; manage labor costs; monitor and
track supplies, expenses and repairs; communicate clearly both vertically and horizontally, including daily communication with crew on safety, quality and job expectations; and provide annual job performance evaluations.

Position requires a MINIMUM of five years maintenance supervisory and strong preventative maintenance experience. Successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills; a strong teamwork approach with employees and other departments; have a background of successful safety performance; ability to read blue prints; experience in AutoCAD; troubleshoot and have knowledge of hydraulics; possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; budget experience; and knowledge of MS Office.
