Hawaii Self Storage helps businesses unlock opportunities & reduce costs in the current economic downturn by offering Customized Business Unit solutions. "Storage is no longer only used for moving or residential needs, it has now evolved into a solution where businesses can not only reduce their costs but grow during these tough economic times," Shaun Salvador, VP Hawaii Self Storage
The current economic downturn is prompting start-up businesses to find affordable and accessible office space. Many companies are unlocking opportunities in unlikely places. What does a computer repair shop, printing business and a boxing training facility have in common...each of these businesses are run out of their very own storage locker.
“We like it because it’s clean in here its safe and it’s safe for the customers. What we wanted to do was keep our costs low and our overhead low just because if you notice down the street a lot of businesses are closing up because of the high rents,” The Computer Corner general manager Shannon Palacio said.
“This is the printing area here this is where I have all of the equipment. I am able to offer probably better rates than a lot of other companies out there because of the fact that I am in a place with low overhead,” Direct Digital Printing services owner Joe Mahi said.
“Storage is no longer for moving or residential needs it’s now we've evolved it into a solution where businesses can not only reduce their costs but grow during these tough economic times,” Hawaii Self Storage Shaun Salvador said.
And some are fighting back against the economy while getting into shape. “First we looked at leasing space and then they were really expensive and then you'd have to be locked into long term situation right,” Pearlside Boxing coach Eiichi Jumawan said. This boxing training center located in a storage locker is home to more than a dozen clients. "I wanted a place where I could work with one person or two people and really focus on them alone,” Jumawan said.
